Daniel Pearson is the Chief Operating Officer for KnownHost, LLC. KnownHost is a quality managed solutions provider with a primary focus on managed cPanel virtual private servers and dedicated hardware solutions.
1. Can you please let our readers know how KNOWNHOST started and how it grew to what it is today?
KnownHost was started back in 2005 by our founders Justin and Pavel. They formed the company with the primary focus on the customer and their experience with the company. Providing a consistent and stable experience for our customers has been our goal from day one. By doing so this has allowed us to form lasting relationships with our customers and they truly know that we care about them and their business.
2. There are 100’s of Web Hosting Companies in the Market. How is KNOWNHOST as a company different?
As a company, our commitment to our customers is unparalleled. I may go on about this a lot in my interview, however, I truly believe what the customer experiences is the most important reason that we stand out from our competitors. We want to be more than a vendor or supplier to our customers, we want them to see us as their partner here to help them whenever necessary.
3. Could you give us an overview of KNOWNHOST products & services?
Sure thing, KnownHost offers several product lines to fit a wide variety of needs.
Starting off we have just recently launched a new managed WordPress hosting platform. This platform offers features for both entry level users and advanced users. We custom built it from the ground up to be both easy to use but powerful.
Our next product lineup is our flagship line. These are our Managed VPS and Managed SSD VPS platforms based on either cPanel or DirectAdmin. Each of these product lines have a wide variety of packages to choose from. This allows us to fit our customers needs regardless of what industry they may be in. Since it is a VPS platform everything can be customized and adjusted on a per customer basis so that we ensure their websites perform the best.
Our final product line is our Managed Dedicated Servers. Similar to our Managed VPS & Managed SSD VPS platforms the dedicated line is geared towards the power user. Whether they need large amounts of dedicated CPU resources for a special product, or advanced raid setups and off-server backups we've got them covered.
4. Why should potential new web hosting customers try out KNOWNHOST?
I think potential customers should give us a try for one simple fact: Once they've experienced the customer service and responsiveness of our staff they will wonder why they didn't swap to us sooner!
5. Current web hosting customer don’t want to deal with moving from one host to another host. Does KNOWNHOST offer any services to make this moving easier?
We certainly do! At KnownHost we offer free inbound migration services for our managed WordPress line, and we offer free migration services for all VPS, SSD VPS, and Dedicated products as well when coming from matching control panels. If a customer happens to be coming from a non-supported service or a straight LAMP stack setup we can handle that too. 6. Please share more about KNOWNHOST data centres and reliability?
We currently operate out of 4 facilities across the globe with our newest facility being in Amsterdam, NL. Being geographically diverse allows us to provide services for our customers in the region that they reside to help reduce any latency for local visitors. Each datacenter we work with has been thoroughly vetted to ensure the safety, security, and reliability of the services they offer. A company such as ours must have a rock solid foundation to be able to ensure our customers are well taken care of.
7. We feel great customer support is very important for potential users. What does KNOWNHOST offer in terms of customer support?
KnownHost offers excellent 24/7/365 support for our clients. As I mentioned earlier customer service and support are the backbone of our company. From our newest hires all the way to our support manager and beyond we are focused on providing fast but accurate technical support to our clients. We're so confident in our support responses that we have a live timer placed on our support page at https://support.knownhost.com so that a customer knows how long before their ticket is picked up and assigned to a technical support operator to begin working on their problem. Depending on the ticket load we average from 1-5 minutes for ticket assignment and most issues are resolved within one or two replies.
8. What are the future plans of KNOWNHOST?
Well, we've been in this industry for quite and while and have seen many hosts come and go during that time. Our goal is to remain consistent for our customer's sake. We do have a few new offerings in the pipe line that will be released as time goes on and development finishes on the projects, however they aren't quite ready to be released to the world just yet. 🙂
